And it all began with the Period Project. What started as a single initiative laid the foundation for everything Akka has gone on to do.

We also ran a talk on periods, covering what to expect and how to look after yourself, and why talking openly matters. Too many girls miss out on school, sport and social life because of period stigma or a lack of access to products. Period dignity means everyone can manage their period without shame, cost or secrecy.
